Set, Change or Delete the Plan Position of a Ticket

Overview

Use the plan position of a ticket to keep everyone up-to-date about where an issue is located on the plan.

Access & Permissions

You need an in-house user with a role permission to edit or create tickets. Read more in Permissions.

Set the Plan Position

Usually you set the plan position when creating a ticket. It is possible to create a ticket without a plan position and add it later.

Requirements to set a plan position:

  • The current layer of the ticket must have a plan.
  • Plan position must be enabled in the form.
    • If this is not the case the + Set Plan Position button is disabled in the ticket.
    • Read more in Forms Settings.

To set a plan position for a ticket that doesn't have one yet:

  1. Open the ticket
  2. Click + Set Plan Position
  3. Drag & drop the ticket pin
  4. Click ✔ to confirm and save.
  1. Open the ticket and scroll down to Plan position
  2. Tap Add plan position
  3. Long tap on the plan to set a plan position
  4. Optional: drag & drop the ticket pin to adjust the plan position
  5. Tap ✔ to confirm and save the plan position
  1. Open the ticket and scroll down
  2. Tap Add plan position
  3. Long tap on the plan to set a plan position

  4. Optional: drag & drop the ticket pin to adjust the plan position
  5. Tap ✔ to confirm
  6. Tap Save

Change the Plan Position

There are two ways to change the plan position of a ticket:

In the Plan View

  1. Select Plan in the View drop down
  2. Click the ticket pin on the plan to open the ticket preview.
  3. Click Reposition
  4. Drag & drop the ticket pin
  5. Click ✔ to confirm and save.

In the Ticket

  1. Open the ticket
  2. Click on the plan position preview to open the View Plan Position screen.
  3. Click Change Plan Position
  4. Drag & drop the ticket pin
  5. Click ✔ to confirm and save.

To set a different plan position on iOS you must delete the current plan position first:

  1. Open the ticket and scroll down to Plan position
  2. Tap Edit plan position

  3. Tap the ticket pin
  4. Tap Delete plan position
  5. Tap Yes, delete position
  6. Long tap on the plan to set a ticket plan position
  7. Optional: drag & drop the ticket pin to adjust the plan position
  8. Tap ✔ to confirm and save the plan position
  1. Open the ticket and scroll down
  2. Tap the plan position preview
  3. Long tap on the ticket pin
  4. Optional: drag & drop the ticket pin to adjust the plan position
  5. Tap ✔ to confirm
  6. Tap Save

Delete the Plan Position

To delete the plan position of a ticket:

  1. Open the ticket
  2. Click on the plan position preview to open the View Plan Position screen.
  3. Click Delete Plan Position
  4. Click Confirm to save the ticket without a plan position.
  1. Open the ticket
  2. Tap More
  3. Tap Remove Planposition
  1. Open the ticket and scroll down
  2. Tap the plan preview
  3. Tap + to open the menu
  4. Tap delete position
  5. Tap Save
