Overview
Add attachments when creating or editing tickets.
Taking new photos, videos and voice recordings is supported by the mobile apps. The Webapp only supports uploading existing documents and media files.
Supported document file types: pdf, xls, xlsx, ods, csv, doc, docx, odt, dwg, dxf, eml, msg
Supported image file types: jpg, png, gif, bmp, heic
Access & Permissions
You need an in-house user with a role permission to create or edit tickets and the user permission 'Tickets & Project Reports'. Read more in Permissions.
Subcontractors only have access to tickets assigned to them and do always have permission to add attachments to them. Read more in User Types.
Add Attachments
Continue here after you Create a Ticket or View & Edit a Ticket.
To upload an attachment you can use drag & drop OR the file browser.
- Drag & drop:
- Drag & drop the file from your desktop to the ticket
- Optional: Use the editing tools to adjust the photo or to add annotations. Read more in Photo Editor
- Optional: Click Edit title to add or change the title of a photo.
- Click Save attachment to upload and attach it to the ticket.
- Drag & drop the file from your desktop to the ticket
- File browser:
- Click Add new attachment
- Click Add from my computer
OR click Add from Dropbox / Google Drive / OneDrive - Select the file in the file browser
- Optional: Use the editing tools to adjust the photo or to add annotations. Read more in Photo Editor
- Optional: Click Edit title to add or change the title of a photo.
- Click Save attachment to upload and attach it to the ticket.
Preview of attachments is only supported for media files and PDF documents. Office documents can be uploaded but must be downloaded to view them.
