Overview
With dynamic attributes you can include data from tickets, projects and more into advanced ticket reports.
There are different attributes available depending on whether you do this on the ticket page or custom pages when you Create Advanced Ticket Report Templates. Also see Manage Pages in Ticket Reports (Advanced).
Access & Permissions
To create or edit ticket report templates you need an in-house user with the user permission 'Templates'. Read more in Permissions.
Advanced ticket report templates are available for Pro and Enterprise plans. Read more in Pricing and Subscription.
Add an Attribute to a Page
As described in Create Advanced Ticket Report Templates in detail, when you create or edit an advanced ticket report template, you can navigate to a page (or create a new one) and add attributes to your content.
To do so:
- Hover over Templates
- Click Ticket Reports
- Click on a advanced report template (the ones with an icon) to edit it, e.g. Custom Ticket Report (or create a new one)
- Click on the page you want to edit e.g. Cover
- Click Add Project Attributes
-
Optionally: Enter a search term to display only matching attributes.
- Click the + button next to the attribute you want to add e.g. Project name.
You can add multiple attributes at once.
- Click the X button to close the attribute selection.
- In the editor you see a placeholder with the attributes name e.g. Project name.
- In the preview and the actual report the placeholder will be substituted to show the actual project name that is active when the report is created e.g. Office Complex 11.
Also see Create Advanced Ticket Report Templates > Show Preview.
- There is no label automatically applied, giving you the freedom to add your own labels as text content before the placeholder e.g. 'Project: '
This allows you to fully customise your ticket reports. Adding dynamic attributes to your advanced ticket report templates works the same for all pages.
Note that custom pages are only included once in each report, whereas the ticket page is generated for each ticket. Therefore, you will only want to include the project name (for example) on the ticket page if you plan to include multiple projects in the same report.
