Create & Edit a Project – PlanRadar HelpCenter

Overview

Create and edit projects in your PlanRadar account.

Access & Permissions

To create a project, you need an in-house user with the user permission 'Projects' or 'Projects (only own projects)'.
To edit a project, you need an in-house user with the user permission 'Projects' or 'Projects (only own projects)' in which case you need to have created the project to have access.
Alternatively, you can edit projects if you are a project member with the role permission 'Project details > Edit'. Read more in Permissions.

How to access Projects

Click Projects

Create a Project

To create a project:

Web app
Mobile

Click + Add new project
Enter a project name and other optional details: code, start and end dates, website, address, etc.
Optional: You can add a project image
Optional: You can add custom fields as explained in Customise Project Details.
Click Save

Tap Create new project
Enter a project name and other optional details: code, start and end dates, website, address, etc.
Optional: You can add a project image

Tap Save

To start working and creating tickets you need at least a project with:

a layer (with or without a plan)
a form (where ticket fields are defined)
a user (to assign the tickets to)

Edit a Project

You can edit different parts of your project.

Manage Project Details

You can edit the project name, code, address, website, and more.

Manage Users of the Project

You can add users and user groups to the project to grant them access and manage what in-house users can view or edit by assigning the appropriate user role.

Manage Layers and Upload Plans

Plans are managed in layers. Layers are similar to folders to help you organise your plans and tickets.
Each plan must be assigned to a layer. Each layer cannot have more than one plan though plan versions are supported.

Manage Forms of the Project

Add forms to your project to be able to create tickets.
