A ticket created in the BIM model view stores its position in the model, the viewpoint and a snapshot. This applies to every form, and lets anyone restore the exact view you saw.
Read more in The BIM Position of a Ticket below.
The BIM Position of a Ticket
A ticket created in the BIM model view stores three things: its position in the model, the viewpoint and a snapshot. The viewpoint is the camera position and direction, together with the section cuts and which elements are shown, hidden or selected. The snapshot is an image of that viewpoint and is saved in the ticket details. Viewpoint and snapshot are saved on ticket creation or when you change the BIM position later.
To view the ticket in the model from the saved viewpoint:
- Click/tap View in model in the ticket details
To view the snapshot in full screen:
- Click/tap the snapshot in the ticket details
Change the BIM Position
Repositioning the pin saves a new viewpoint and a new snapshot. To move the pin to a different position:
- Click the Reposition icon
- Drag the pin to the new position
- Click the green ✔
- Tap View in model
- Tap the Edit icon
- Drag the pin to the new position
- Tap the green ✔
Add a BIM Position in the Mobile App
In the iOS and Android apps you can add a position to a ticket that was created without one, as long as the ticket is on a layer with a BIM model. This also stores the viewpoint and the snapshot.
To add a BIM position:
- Tap Add BIM position
- Drag the pin to the position you want
- Tap the green ✔ to confirm the position
- Tap Done
Delete the BIM Position in the Mobile App
To delete the position:
- Tap View in model
- Tap the Delete position icon
- Tap Delete to confirm
On a ticket that syncs with BIMcollab the position cannot be deleted. The pin can be repositioned. Read more in Create & Sync Tickets with BIMcollab.
