Introduction to Use Cases
In the Use Cases category of our HelpCenter we demonstrate how you can leverage PlanRadar’s flexible feature-set into complete, end-to-end solutions for typical project workflows.
While the articles in Using PlanRadar and Setting Up PlanRadar focus on all the individual features, the articles in this category go one step further. They demonstrate how you can combine those powerful features in the most flexible way to support your individual workflows as no other tool on the market.
What to Expect in Use Case Articles
Each use case article provides a practical scenario. This includes:
- Role definitions – who does what in the process (e.g., Requester, Coordinator, Responder).
- Form and field setup – which fields to create, who edits them, and why.
- Workflows – step-by-step paths tickets take, including assignments, status changes, and approvals.
- Tips & Enhancements – examples of how you can adapt a workflow for your own organisation and add even more flexibility.
These articles are designed to help you configure PlanRadar around your company-specific workflows and project requirements.
Request For Information (RFI)
Use PlanRadar to efficiently manage RFIs in a standardised way. You’ll find three articles that walk you through the process in a coherent example:
- RFI Example: Overview – Explains what an RFI is, why it matters, and how to structure a basic RFI workflow in PlanRadar.
- RFI Example: Setup – Shows how to configure forms, roles, and permissions for RFIs.
- RFI Example: Workflow in Practice – Demonstrates how RFIs are managed in day-to-day project work.
What’s Next?
RFIs are just the beginning. Upcoming use case articles will cover:
- Submittals – Manage document submissions, reviews, and approvals.
- Change Orders – Handling scope changes and their impact on cost and schedule.
- QA/QC Checklists – Create standardised QA/QC processes and reduce defects upfront to save costs and deliver on time.
- Safety – Use PlanRadar for fire, life safety, compliance inspections, risk assessments and more.
- Snagging – Tracking and resolving defects efficiently.
- Site Reports – Document and track project progression on-site efficiently and get insights.
- Handovers – Manage all your handovers with PlanRadar with ease of use.
There are many more similar use cases PlanRadar is a perfect solution for such as condition surveys, site induction forms, photo documentation, technical due diligence, etc.
Use Cases are not “one size fits all.” They are examples you can adapt, expand, or simplify depending on your project setup and company standards.
We are happy to support you with any use case in your organisation.
