Overview
Ask the AI Assistant in the Webapp to find PDFs or Office documents by asking questions like 'What documents do I have related to price negotiations?'. You get a list of relevant documents and can view them or attach one of them for follow-up questions like in Get Document Insights with AI Assistant.

What You Can Do
Search for documents stored in your project's Documents section by topic, author, date, or any combination.
The assistant returns up to 10 matching documents per search. For more specific results, refine your query with additional details.
What the assistant understands
- Topics - describe what the document is about (e.g., fire safety, cable management, structural analysis)
- Author - who uploaded or created the document, or say "me"
- Dates - when the document was created or last updated
Examples
| What you're looking for | Example query |
| A topic | "Find documents about fire safety protocols" |
| An author | "Documents uploaded by Sarah" |
| A date range | "Show me documents uploaded last week" |
| Topic + metadata combined | "HVAC document reports created by John in September" |
| Multiple criteria | "Structural analysis files reports updated after January 15" |
Always include 'documents' or 'files' in your prompt so the assistant knows where to search. For example, 'Find me documents about fire safety' rather than just 'fire safety'.
