Attachment Types
There are two types of attachments for tickets:

They are enabled in the form settings. Read more in Edit Form Settings. -
Field attachments are attached to a specific attachment field in the ticket form.
Read more in Field Types > Attachment Field.
Access & Permissions

Additional Ways to Add Attachments

On Android you can use the system camera instead of the integrated camera app.
This is not recommended, because then you cannot use the integrated photo editor and cannot take multiple photos at once. Maybe you still want to use the system camera for additional camera options.
To use the system camera on Android:
- Tap Add Media
- Tap System camera
- Select a camera app, for example:
Camera (for photos) or
Camera Camcorder (for videos)
These options may vary depending on your device. - Use additional camera options
Add More
The mobile app supports more general ticket attachments as described in:
In Document Management it is also possible to upload photos/videos from your camera.
Read more in Add & Manage Files/Folders > Upload Photos/Videos from your Camera on Mobile.
Add Field Attachments
To upload field attachments:
- Scroll to the respective attachment field in the ticket (for example Photos before)
- Click the + icon
- Click Add from my computer
OR click Add from Dropbox / Google Drive / OneDrive
Adding attachments to a specific field works the same way as adding general attachments. The only difference is that you first scroll to the respective field in the ticket form. To do so:
- Scroll to the attachment field, for example Photos (before)
- Tap + Add attachment
- Select from where you want to get the attachment:
Photos = your device photo gallery
Videos = your device video gallery
Camera = to capture a new photo or video
System camera = Android devices allow to use you Android system camera instead of the camera app integrated into PlanRadar
Files = browse your device storage for other supported file types than photos/videos, for example PDFs.
The steps and possibilities after this step are the same as described above for general attachments (for example using the photo editor or taking multiple photos).
Allow GPS Position for Photos
To add GPS position to photos that you attach to tickets:
- Enable GPS in your iOS or Android device.
- Allow adding GPS positions in the PlanRadar mobile app.
Read more in Application Settings > Add GPS Position to Tickets. - Once the settings are enabled, add a photo as explained above.
- GPS position will be posted in the photo metadata.
