PlanRadar's AI features help you search project data, summarise documents, and get answers faster using natural language. This page explains how your data is processed, protected, and stored when you use these features.
PlanRadar's AI integrations are subject to the same privacy and security standards as the rest of the PlanRadar platform. For general information about how PlanRadar handles data protection, see also General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Security and ISO Certification.
What Data is Processed
The AI Assistant processes only the content you provide or that already exists in your project, depending on the feature you use. This includes:
- Text and chat inputs you enter in the AI Assistant
- Ticket data (metadata, descriptions, comments) relevant to your query
- Document content (text extracted from Documents or uploaded files) when you request summaries or insights
Each piece of data is processed solely to deliver the specific function you requested, for example answering a question, finding tickets, creating a filter, or summarising a document.
AI Infrastructure and Model Provider
PlanRadar's AI features are powered by Amazon Bedrock a fully managed generative AI service provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Amazon Bedrock runs within PlanRadar's existing AWS infrastructure, meaning AI processing does not introduce a separate hosting environment or additional data transfers. All AI processing occurs within PlanRadar's existing AWS infrastructure in the eu-central-1 region (Frankfurt, Germany).
Availability: AI features are available exclusively to customers whose PlanRadar instances are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Customers hosted on other infrastructure are excluded from AI processing, and their data is not transmitted to any AI service provider.
Customer data is not shared with any model providers. Amazon Bedrock is in scope for SOC 1/2/3, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 27701, and CSA STAR Level 2 certifications and can be used in compliance with the GDPR. For more technical details, see Amazon Bedrock’s security FAQ.
Customer data is not shared with any model providers. Neither AWS nor any third-party model provider uses customer inputs or outputs to train foundation models.
Data Protection
PlanRadar maintains its own ISO 27001-certified information security management system and applies technical and organisational measures in accordance with the GDPR to protect customer data throughout the AI processing chain. From a systems perspective, there is no difference between how AI-processed data and other PlanRadar data is stored and secured.
Disabling AI Features
Customers who wish to disable AI Assistant features can do so by contacting PlanRadar's support or customer success team. Upon request, AI functionality will be disabled at the account level, making all AI features immediately unavailable to all users within that organization. Please note that opting out is currently only available at the account level — it is not possible to disable AI features for individual users or specific projects. Disabling AI features does not affect existing project data or other PlanRadar functionality.
AI Data Retention
AI chat messages, including prompts and AI-generated responses, are stored in accordance with PlanRadar's standard data retention policy that applies across the platform. PlanRadar retains AI interaction data to improve the user experience and to better understand how users engage with AI features. Stored data is subject to the same technical and organisational security measures as all other PlanRadar platform data.
